Sarah Roots, VP Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter to speak at TEA Case Studies Day April 5 in Anaheim

Sarah Roots is Vice President, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.  Joining in October 2010, before construction started, she has seen the project from conception through to the Grand Opening on 31 March 2012 and on to its first anniversary.  One year on the Studio Tour has been a phenomenal success with ticket sell-outs, high secondary spend and 97% excellent or very good TripAdvisor reviews (out of some 5,000).

The TEA Summit is part of the Themed Entertainment Association's 2013 Weekend of Events, which includes the annual 2-day Summit (April 4-5) and the annual Thea Awards Gala (April 6). The events are held at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif USA. Click here for tickets/more information.  

Starting her career with the Tussauds Group, Sarah moved in 2000 to head up Operations for the National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London.  In 2003 she moved to the National Trust in the South East of England leading customer service and commercial operations across over 20 built properties and countryside sites, later taking the position of Director, Central Customer Services at the organisation’s Head Office.  Sarah returned to Greenwich, becoming Director Communications, Marketing and Visitor Experience, on the Board of the National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory and The Queen’s House.  She led communications and operations for a new museum wing, introduced charging at the Royal Observatory, and led the operations feasibility study for the famous Cutty Sark Clipper.  

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter will be honored with a Thea Award on April 6 by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), at the annual Thea Awards Gala, in Anaheim. Ms Roots will speak about the attraction to an industry audience at Case Studies Day on April 5 as part of TEA's annual Weekend of Events - which includes the 2-day TEA Summit (April 4-5) followed by the Thea Awards Gala (April 6).
